Terms of Service

1. The Service
BookCovers is operated by Snow Labs. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. The Service includes the AI cover designer, canvas editor, marketplace, and any associated features.
2. Your Account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. One account per person; you may not share login details with other people. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
3. Plans & Billing
Free: $0 forever. Includes 1 cover project, the full canvas editor, and free AI models. Exports are watermarked.
Pro: $5/month or $50/year (₹399/month in India). Unlimited covers, all AI models via credits, clean print-ready exports, full wraparound, and a full commercial license.
Credits: Premium AI models consume credits per generation. You see the cost before each generation. Credits never expire and are shared across BookOS apps. Unused credits are non-refundable except where required by law.
Cancellation: Cancel any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Your covers remain exportable.
4. Ownership & License
Your covers belong to you. Pro plan exports come with a full commercial license — you may print, sell, distribute, advertise, and license the covers without attribution or royalties to BookCovers. Free-tier exports are watermarked and intended for evaluation only.
Inputs you upload: You retain ownership of any photos, fonts, or assets you upload to BookCovers. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process and display them inside your project.
AI-generated imagery: AI models do not consistently produce copyrightable output in every jurisdiction. Where the law restricts copyright on AI-generated content, those restrictions apply to you as well. Commercial use is still permitted under your BookCovers Pro license.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use BookCovers to:
- Generate covers depicting real, identifiable people without their consent (especially in compromising contexts).
- Generate sexual content involving minors. Generate or distribute CSAM. Period.
- Generate hate-speech imagery, content promoting violence toward identifiable groups, or material designed to harass.
- Bulk-resell AI outputs as templates without modification (we enforce this on the marketplace too).
- Reverse-engineer the Service, scrape, or use it to compete directly.
- Misrepresent AI-generated cover art as human-illustrated work if a buyer is paying specifically for human illustration.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Designer Marketplace
Designers who list premade covers receive 70% of each sale; the platform retains 30% to cover hosting, payment processing, reviews, refunds, and buyer support. Each marketplace cover is sold once (exclusive); after sale it is removed from the catalog. Designers retain copyright but grant the buyer a full commercial license. Submissions are reviewed for quality and originality within 2 business days.
7. Refunds
We refund subscriptions within 14 days of the first payment if you have generated fewer than 5 cover designs. Marketplace purchases are final once the cover is downloaded. Disputes can be opened from your account.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that AI generations will match expectations on every attempt or that print-ready exports will pass every printer’s checks (we do guarantee they pass KDP and IngramSpark on first upload when the trim and bleed presets are followed). Snow Labs’ total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
